About Me

I started as a painter and printmaker and used photographs as compositional studies for my work. Eventually, photography became my primary medium. As an undergraduate, I attended the School of Visual Arts and Art Center College of Design and received my MFA from Pratt Institute.
I have over twenty years of experience working in many areas of commercial photography; in the studio and on location, shooting portraits, fashion, still life, and room sets. I also work on video, audio, and installation projects.
In addition to working with artists, my print clients include Fortune, Vibe, Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Esquire, Newsweek, and Details, to name a few.
I love working with artists and using the skills I learned in the studio to provide the documentation they need to achieve their goals.
I currently live and work in Brooklyn.

The Shoot

Every shoot is unique, and it is my objective to meet every client's individual needs.

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV camera directly onto my laptop using Capture One software. Initial monitor calibration allows clients to review the images during the shoot for color accuracy, lighting, composition, contrast, etc.

I can also shoot 4x5 transparencies upon request and am available for other kinds of shooting, such as events and portraits.

Post Production

Once the images are captured, I make corrections on my desktop system in my studio. Clients are welcomed and encouraged to participate in making the final adjustments before output.

Basic retouching, cropping, and color correction are included, and images are sized for output to client specifications.

Final images are delivered electronically via Wetransfer or can be transferred to a client's hard drive, USB 2.0 thumb drive, or DVD.
